P90X is a 90 day program developed by Tony Horton. He also created Power 90 which is a walk in the park from P90X. This is a 13 week revolutionary program that focuses on the important elements of healthy nutrition and fitness. There are 12 DVD’s and each one Tony Horton is your personal trainer. He will motivate you and push to do your best.
Pros: This program consists of a full 3-phase nutrition guide, a detailed fitness plan, specifically designed supplement options, a complete calendar to follow your progress, and an online community for support. P90X is designed to avoid your body to plateau; with its training technique called Muscle Confusion. It will provide a variety to your routines and body, which can also avoid boredom. Each month there’s a new stage for your fitness and nutrition plan. This effective program will give you the lean, toned, ripped body you want because each video is designed to improve different body parts. It’s not all about weights because you also get plyometrics, stretching, cardio and some martial arts.
Cons: Once you become used to the workouts you’ll realize that they are a few breaks during the routines. Sometimes you don’t want to do a ballistic stretch in between exercises. And it’s understandable for the people just starting the program because you have to go at your own pace but if you know what the next exercise is and you want to push yourself then I suggest you keep going. Also for those that don’t normally exercise be prepared to workout at least 5 days a week; which you should be doing even without the program, so you can lose weight.

It comes with easy to follow recipes and you don’t have to go a specialty store to buy your groceries. You’ll get your workout sheet to track the size of your weights and reps you’ve completed.
